A FREE, volunteer-staffed community service is available in Boerne, Kendall County and surrounding areas! We prepare and e-file individual income tax returns from February 6 through April 18, and this includes FREE electronic filing. There are no income or age restrictions. Service is offered on a first-come, first-served basis.
We can assist with tax questions and complete virtually in IRS forms. Taxpayers must bring:
1. Copy of last year's return
2. Photo ID
3. Social Security number
4. Health Insurance Information
Volunteers preparing tax returns are not IRS employees, but are trained and certified by the IRS.
Starting February 6, tax returns are prepared Mondays 2pm - 6pm, Tuesdays and Wednesdays 1pm - 6pm. We won't prepare taxes on Monday, February 20, because the library will be closed for Presidents Day.
Kronkosky Senior Center will also have tax help on Mondays 8am - Noon (open on Presidents Day). They're located at 17 Old San Antonio Road in Boerne.
