All others do need a permit.• AN ADDITION ON MY HOUSE?Yes, all additions must be permitted. Please contact Code Enforcement for additional details.• A BANNER?Yes, banners are permitted 5 times a year for a period of 30 days. A 20 day waiting period must occur before each permit. Contact Code Enforcement for additional information, or visit “permit fees” for the associated fee.• A BELOW-GROUND SWIMMING POOL?Yes, a permit application is required, along with a site plan indicating where the placement of the pool will be installed. Contact Code Enforcement for additional information, or visit “Permit Fees” page for the associated fees.• BRICKS, STONES, OR PAVERS FOR A WALKWAY, PATIO, ETC.?No permits are required.• DISTRIBUTION OF FLYERS OR OTHER WRITTEN INFORMATION DOOR-TO DOOR OR IN PARKING LOTS IN BOERNE?The City of Boerne does not permit the distribution of flyers or other written information door-to-door.• A FENCE?Yes, a permit application is required along with a site plan indicating where the fence will be placed. Contact Code Enforcement or visit “Permit Fees” for the associated fee.• GARAGE SALE?No, a permit is not required for a garage sale. However, signs for a garage sale have restrictions. Please contact code Enforcement for additional information.• PAINTING OR SIDING?In general a permit is not required for painting or replacing siding, provided your property is not within the Historic District. Please contact Planning and Zoning at 830.248.1501 for additional information.• POURING CONCRETE?No permit is required to pour concrete, however if you are concreting the driveway approach near the street or curb area, you are required to obtain a Right-of-Way permit from the Public Works Department. Please be advised that concrete pours cannot be earlier than 7:00 A.M. Monday through Friday, 8:00 A.M. Saturday and 10:00 A.M. Sunday.• ROOF REPLACEMENT?A permit is required if you are replacing over 50% of your roof. Contact Code Enforcement for additional information, or visit “Permit fees” for the associated fee.• SELLING DOOR TO DOOR IN BOERNE?The City of Boerne requires anyone going door to door selling to obtain a Peddler’s Permit. Contact Code Enforcement for additional information.• SELLING FRUIT, VEGETABLES OR OTHER PRODUCE BY THE ROADSIDE?No permit is required by the City. Please be aware that baked goods and other products may be subject to Health Inspections.
